Serious assault in Wellsford

Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred last night at about 9.25pm in Wellsford outside an address where a party was being held.

A 19 year old man has been taken to Auckland Hospital by Westpac and has had surgery on two stab wounds.

He is in a stable condition.

Wellsford Police have arrested a man. He will appear in the North Shore District today charged with assault.
