Fatal crash in Papakura

Police and emergency services have just arrived at a crash on Alfriston Road, Papakura that occurred at 6.10 am.

Initial reports indicated that a car was on fire and people were trapped. Fire units, first on the scene confirmed one person was dead.

The crash is expected to cause delays and closures and diversions are being put in place.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
