Missing elderly female in Counties Manukau

At approximately 4am this morning it was noticed that a 92 year old female residing at the Metlife Care Highlands Retirement Village, Aberfeldy Ave, Highland Park, was missing.

The 92 year old female suffers from Dementia and appears to have left the retirement village on foot.

She is 5'3 tall, caucasian, slight build, and responds to the name Vera. Vera was dressed in flanelette pyjamas.
Police have concerns for Vera's health and safety due to the present weather conditions. Police are asking residents in the Highland Park area to look out their windows and checks their properties to ensure Vera is not lying down somewhere in the area.

Police Search and Rescue are currently searching the area to try and locate her.If anyone locates Vera could they please contact their local Police Station as soon as possible.
