Serious crash in Waitaki

At 1630hrs on the 18 July 2008 near Waitaki on State Highway 1, a truck and a car collided.

The 56 year old North Shore man is in a serious condition in Dunedin hospital.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

Oamaru Police, the serious crash unit are at the scene. A diversion is in place until about midnight.

A full investigation will be conducted by the Police, no decision has been made as to cause of the crash at this point.
