Scott McDonald and Kate Morrison, both just returned from competing for New Zealand at the Junior World Orienteering Championships in Sweden, wasted no time in reasserting their presence on the domestic scene. They were the respective winners of the senior titles at the Silva NZ Secondary School Championships held in the Waikato over the weekend.

In a coup for the Hastings family, McDonald's brother Chris took out the intermedediate boys championship.
