Power outage-security advise

 North Shore Police are issuing a warning to business owners that many parts of North Shore City are without electricity due to the storm.

 Business owners are asked to check their premises and if affected they are advised to arrange on-site security until the power supply is resumed.

Where possible they should arrange either a static security guard or staff members to remain on premises that may be susceptible to burglary or damage.

Additional police staff are working this evening.
