Water Rescue in Tory Channel

At 2130hrs on the 28 July 2008 Police were advised that a 37 foot yacht was taking on water at the entrance to the Tory Channel.

A Ferry and other vessels assisted in the search and located the yacht.

The two occupants were rescued and taken onboard another vessel.

The Coast guard were going to take a pump out to the yacht and attempt to save the yacht.

The rescue is still in progress at this stage.
