Body Located in Northland

Police have recovered the body of a female who was located in a swollen river in Waikere, Far North.
Enquiries are continuing to establish the identity of the person and the circumstances surrounding the death.
Emergency services encountered difficulties getting to the rural location because of flooding in the area.
No further information on the deceased will be released until the identification has been completed and the next of kin advised.
