Body of missing man found

Early Friday afternoon, the body of missing Upper Hutt man John Gerraty was found in an area of Upper Hutt.

Mr Gerraty had been missing since August 7.

The circusmtances surrounding his death are not considered suspicious and the matter has now been referred to the Coroner.

Police would like to thank the community for their assistance in this matter.
