Missing Man's Body Found near Puhoi

A police Search and Rescue team have recovered the body of a missing opossum trapper from an area of bush near Puhoi.
The 69 year old man, a Puhoi local, had been reported missing by friends at 7.00 pm yesterday, three hours after he was due back from setting his traps. Friends and SAR members searched through the night until the man's body was located near the centre of the search area just after 4.00 am.
Immediate next-of-kin have been informed but the man's name is not expected to be released until other family members have been notified.
