Infant standing on scooter at time of crash

Detective Senior Sergeant David Harvey advises that the family of the two year old infant have requested that the name not be released until the extended family have been informed of the death and the circumstances.
Detective Senior Sergeant Harvey has confirmed that at the time of the crash the infant was standing on the scooter which was being driven by the 22 year old mother.
The mother is to be spoken to by Police.
NOTE: The name of the infant will be released on Monday 25 August 2008.
