Telecom Hub open for business
Telecom today announces the launch of its suite of online services for mall businesses.
The Telecom Business Hub (telecombusinesshub.co.nz) will provide New Zealand’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs) a one-stop shop to find, try and buy business grade communications and online services.
The new services include proactive monitoring and support of PCs and servers, small business email services, and call management solutions that ensure SMEs never miss a customer opportunity.
The Business Hub also offers website hosting packages, domain name registration and easy website design tools to help SMEs maximise their online presence.
New broadband plans specifically tailored for SMEs are available, and include business-grade wireless modems from partner 2Wire®, as well as a dedicated broadband service centre to help SMEs keep connected to their online world.
New Zealand is predominantly a nation of small business, with almost half a million enterprises according to latest Ministry of Economic Development data.
“Those half a million SMEs want and need the IT solutions that previously were really only available to large corporates - and that’s what we’ll be providing with the Telecom Business Hub,” says Head of Business Marketing, Victoria Crone.
“Through the process of developing the Telecom Business Hub we have worked with over 100 SMEs, we’ve asked them what works for them, and what doesn’ t, and we’ve taken all of their suggestions on board.
“SMEs contribute almost 40 percent to the value-added output of New Zealand’s economy each year, and Telecom wants to contribute to that output by enabling SMEs to make the most of their online and broadband activity,” says Ms Crone.
This week’s launch of the Telecom Business Hub is only the start, over the coming months Telecom will deliver more products and services including online backup and security, mobile PBX solutions, unified communications and Software as a Service (SaaS) offers.
