Upper Hutt fire victim identified

Upper Hutt Police have released the name of a man who died in a fatal house fire early on Saturday morning.

He was Mr Raymond Harold King, aged 51, of Miro Street, Trentham, whose body was found in a sleepout.

Detective Sergeant Tony Heathcote, Upper Hutt CIB, said police believe the fire may have been caused by a burning candle.

Mr King's death has been referred to the coroner.
