Stabbing - Avondale

Police are investigating an incident in Avondale.

At approximately 5.20pm yesterday a male entered the Lotto shop in Avondale.

He approached the male shopkeeper and stabbed him several times in the upper body area.

The victim has been taken to Auckland Hospital with serious injuries.

Police located and arrested a male a short distance from the scene.
