Telecom has announced the launch of a new monthly plan for residential
customers that eliminates toll charges in New Zealand for national calls.

Called Total Home, the bundle of services includes an unlimited number of
national calls, 10 gigabytes (GB) of data per month for Broadband, home
landline and cheaper international capped calls.

“Total Home aims to provide our customers with the freedom to do more with
all their home services without having to worry about the cost”, says
David Craig, Telecom’s GM of Marketing.

“They can make as many calls as they like, surf the internet and also
enjoy the benefits of free premium broadband services like McAfee Security
Suite at one fixed price, eliminating surprises.”

“And 10GB of data is enough for the average Kiwi family or flat to send
around 5000 emails, or buy 200 songs or 12 movies online – every month,”
says Mr Craig.

The offer also includes a 24 hour, seven day a week service and support
help desk, and free access to Telecom Premium Services like Yahoo!Xtra Pro
Mail, FlickrPro, and Telecom Security Suite (from McAfee and worth $94.50
a year)

For a monthly price of $99 in the cities of Auckland, Wellington and parts
of Christchurch, or $109 in other areas Telecom Total Home customers will
receive:

• Unlimited number of national landline calls with up to 2 hours talk time
on each call
• 10GB Broadband data allowance a month
• 33c per minute calling to Telecom Mobiles
• $2.00 for 2 hours talk time to Australian landlines (that’s 120 minutes
of talking for a maximum charge of $2)
• $4.50 for 2 hours talk time to landlines in the UK, Ireland, USA and
Canada

The introduction of Total Home comes one week after Telecom announced it
was adding more value to most of its Broadband plans including an increase
in data allowances on a number of plans as well as the removal of upload
speed caps on some services.

“We are focussed on improving our products and services to meet customers’
evolving needs; and unlike some products in the market Total Home is
available to all New Zealanders – not just those in certain regions,” says
Mr Craig.

Total Home is available from Monday 6 October. For more information visit
