At about 2.20pm on Wednesday the 8th October 2008 a 20 year old Christchurch man was arrested for the Aggravated Robbery of a bank in the St Martins Area, Christchurch.

The male was wearing white shoes, black tracksuit pants, a black long sleeved T-shirt, a black beanie or balaclava and had a dark coloured scarf concealing his face.

He was also wearing a pair of black gloves

Some clothing and an amount of money was recovered by police near where the offender was apprehended in the Beckford Street, Riverlaw Terrace area.

It is believed that the offender has discarded his beanie / balaclava and gloves.

Police want to hear from members of the public who live or were in the St Martins area at the time and may have seen the offender or located any property or money.
