Serious Crash in Auckland City

A 40 year old man had to be cut from his car and received injuries described as moderate to serious when he crashed into the grounds of Sacred Heart College on West Tamaki Road Glendowie early this morning.
Just over a minute earlier the man had been seen by a police patrol speeding through the Glen Innes shopping Centre and he was being pursued when the crash occurred less than 2kms from the shops.
Police Serious Crash investigators are at the scene and the circumstances will be reported to the IPCA for review.
