Paraglider lands in sea - Sumner

At 2.58pm on Sunday 12/10/08 a paraglider was seen to come down in the sea off Sumner, Christchurch, approximately 100m off shore.

The male floated alongside his parachute until picked up by the Sumner lifeboat and was brought ashore.

He was not injured and stated he had run out of wind.
