Slip closes road for 4 to 6 hours - SH2

Waioeka Gorge will be closed for 4 to 6 hours due to a large slip.

This is state highway two the main route between Opotiki and Gisborne

The slip is between Wairata and Matawai townships.

There are no diversions possible.

Motorists are advised to either use alternative routes, delay their journey or expect delays.
