IT’S TEA TIME AT BOTANY TOWN CENTRE

Tea lovers are soon to have their taste buds tantalised with the arrival of New Zealand’s first T2 store at Botany Town Centre. The store, entirely dedicated to tea and the ceremony of brewing tea, will feature an extensive range of tea varieties and teawares. The world’s first T2 store was founded 12 years ago in Melbourne, Australia. There are now 20 T2 stores and teahouses across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Canberra and now Kiwi Jonathan Houldsworth is bringing the exciting T2 experience/brand to New Zealand.

T2 at Botany Town Centre will offer up to 180 teas, including varieties of black, green and white teas as well as Fruit and Herbal tisanes, all with their own distinctive flavour and aroma. Both the tea connoisseur and novice can also enjoy the range of homewares, from the functional to the fun and traditional to modern, that accompany these teas from around the world., Customers can sample teas from T2’s tasting station every day and all teas are beautifully packaged, making ideal presents with T2’s year round gift-wrapping service.

Botany Town Centre Senior Centre Manager Jennifer Manning says her team is pleased to welcome the new store. “T2’s broad variety of teas is sure to appeal to anyone who is passionate about tea. A recent customer survey we conducted has found that shoppers are eager to experience more specialist and food-related stores. T2 will certainly bring a different and unique retail offering to the centre.”

Mr Houldsworth originally discovered T2 when he was visiting Australia; he loves tea and after some research saw a demand for a better tea offering for the tea novice and guru alike. “The store’s relaxing environment will appeal to a broad market, and customers can visit to buy tea either for themselves or as gifts for loved ones.”

Jonathan now owns the rights to the New Zealand master franchise for T2 and has plans to expand the business into a number of different locations across the country.

The T2 store at Botany Town Centre is due to open Wednesday 5 November.
