Levin Police are investigating a robbery that occurred on Tuesday 21st October at about 6:15pm at the public toilets on Balance Street, Shannon.
A forty year old Shannon woman was treated in Palmerston North Hospital for a single stab wound to her thigh after being approached by a female who demanded she empty the contents of her pockets.
The victim had been walking her dog at the time and during the course of the robbery the victims dog bit the offender before she left the scene with money and prescription medication.
Police are seeking anyone who used the Shannon public toilets around this time to come forward and contact Levin Police on 06 3660500, in particular a female witness believed to be driving a red late model sedan.
