Death of woman in Miramar

Wellington Police are investigating on behalf of the coroner the sudden death of a woman at her Nevay Road, Miramar, home today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Miller, acting head of Wellington CIB, said a post mortem is being held as part of standard procedures. Officers have also cordoned off the woman's home to undertake a scene examination.

"Our inquiries and the post mortem have not been completed but at this time the death is not being treated as suspicious."

Police are in the process of advising overseas family members.
