Rail death in West Auckland

Henderson Police advise that they are investigating the death of a male person on a rail track at West Auckland.
Shortly after 5.30 am this morning police were advised that a deceased male had been found on the rail track.
Serious crash investigators are at the scene investigating the circumstances leading up to the death.
Limited rail passage is now occurring on this section of rail to auckland city.
We are hopeful that full services will resume at or about 8.30am.
Rail commuters if they wish to avoid delays would be best placed to start their travel to Auckland City from Henderson station.
