Missing pipeline worker - New Brighton / Sumner

Search and Rescue are continuing the search for the missing Niad and person.

Two Lyttleton based trawlers are searching an area of interest tonight and there will be a ground search along various coastal areas tomorrow.

Police would still like to hear from anyone who may have found

2 x 10 litre petrol containers that had been seen at North Shore near 20th Ave at Bottle Lake Park around 1.00pm today.

The containers were against the sand dunes near the high tide mark.

The containers had gone when Police arrived.

Police wish to establish if these containers are related to the missing Niad
