Youth council polishes targa
As the Dunlop Targa Rally cars roared into life, the Stratford District Youth Council got their buckets ready.
As the cars squealed through the leg from Whangamomona to Stratford, the Youth Council wet their sponges.
And as the cars thundered into Stratford, the Youth Council sprang into action.
“We take every opportunity we can to contribute to the community and community events,” says Youth Council chairman Ngawai Matthews. “The Targa Rally is a great occasion to get involved with, and we run our very own Youth Council car wash. With almost one hundred cars through the car wash, we raised enough money for a new Youth Council banner.”
The Rally continues to Wanganui, then down to Wellington, finishing on Saturday 1 November.
