 The name of the motorcyclist who died at crash on SH 73 on Saturday has been released.

He was Robert John Dalley aged 55 years, of Nelson.

Mr Dalley was an experienced rider, travelling as part of a group touring the SouthIsland.

The crash occurred about 2.30pm on Saturday 1 November about 10km west of Springfield.
