AUCKLAND

Police investigating the attempted abduction off the street of two girls in the area of the Richmond Road Primary School at about midday on Sunday, November 8, have been able to gain a better description of the offender, thanks to the assistance of the public.
New information has enabled investigators to release the following updated description of the person sought in relation to the attacks;

  
* Maori or Pacific Islander,
  
* medium to solid build,
  
* wavy or bushy medium-length dark hair,
  
* possibly some facial hair,
  
* approximately 5'10 - 6' tall,
  
* aged in his late teens to mid 20's.
He is described as wearing;

  
* a brown zip-up jacket with white stripes down each arm - possibly with a hood attached.
  
* dark trousers,
  
* white shoes - possibly sports shoes or similar.
Investigators believe the offender may have been loitering in the Grey Lynn Park area and surrounding streets before the attacks and someone may have seen him running through Grey Lynn Park after the attacks.
