Serious Injury Crash in Waitemata District, 7:45pm 14 Nov 2008

Earlier this evening there was a serious crash involving a motorcycle and a car in the vicinity of 636 Kaipara Flats Road, Dome Forest. The motorcyclist suffered severe fractures to the legs and was airlifted from the scene by the Westpac Rescue helicopter. The police serious crash unit will be investigating. The road in the vicinity and detours are in place on Carran Road and Old Kaipara Road. NO time limit on this closure at this stage.
