Man injures legs falling onto Motorway

Shortly after 10.30pm last night an Auckland City police patrol came across a fight on Karangahape Road.

The participants of the fight ran in different directions.

One male has run down a small side street and apparently tried to climb across or down onto the motorway system.

The police helicopter has arrived and observed the male hanging from a height.

The helicopter has attempted to direct staff to help this man but he has fallen before police could attend.

A police patrol and a passing Doctor on the Motorway have applied first aid before the male was transported to hospital. It is understood that the male has injuries to his leg.

Police are enquiring into the incident to ascertain the circumstances leading up to the mans fall.
