Police looking for vehicle linked to burglaries in Wellington
Police are looking for a White WXR Suburu motor vehicle linked to three burglaries in Wellington overnight.
The vehicle is white coloured and is believed to be a 2007 WRX Suburu, probably turbo. The vehicle has a smashed rear passenger window on the driver side and has damage to the front of the vehicle and panels on the drivers side.
Four male Caucasians were associated with the vehicle. The drive was wearing a camouflage jacket.
The first burglary occurred in Miramar in Darlington Rd at 0030 hrs when a rock was thrown through the window of a four square store.
The second burglary occurred at 0146 hrs in Brooklyn to a dairy in Mills rd. Offenders smashed a window and removed cigarettes.
The third burglary occurred at 0222 hrs to the BP Ngaio. A crowbar was used to try and gain entry to the premises.
At 0327 offenders were disturbed by police siphoning petrol in Miramar. The offenders fled in the Suburu colliding with the parked police vehicle. The driver side rear window of the vehicle was smashed by an officer with his baton. The offenders decamped the scene and to date have not been located.
