Police are investigating a serious vehicle crash at Manurewa

Shortly after 2.30pm this afternoon two vehicles collided on Dalgety Drive Manurewa.

4 people were taken to hospital one being in a very serious condition. One person a female has since died as a result of injuries sustained.

A male driver of one vehicle has been arrested and charged with alcohol related offences and assault of a firefighter at the scene.

Serious crash investigators are investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash.

The male will be appearing in the Manukau District court
