Missing Person in Wellington District, 5:10pm 23 Nov 2008

On the 21st of November, 2008, Marcos/Desmond/VAN VELZEN was reported missing from a Johnsonville address by his mother.

Marcos VAN VELZEN is a 32 year old male who has an intellectual disability. He is described by his mother as being placid and kind, someone who 'wouldn't hurt a fly'.

Marcos is an avid cyclist who loves the outdoors. He has been known to go out for a 'bike ride' only to end up in Whanganui or Masterton.

He was last seen by his mother at about 10am on the 21st of November, 2008, when he went out on his mountain bike for a ride.
Marcos is described as:

* European male

* Blue eyes

* Approximately 180cm in height of solid build

* Blondie/brownish hair

* Clean shaven

He was last seen wearing:

* Grey long-sleeved sweat shirt

* Grey jacket with horizontal and vertical pinstripes

* Green shorts with large pockets on side

* Brown leather boat shoes

* Red back-pack
Bicycle is described as:

* White mountain bike

* Purple coloured logo on frame
