New Zealand Police Alert 6:10am - Oil Diesel spill

Police are investigating an oil or diesel spill on State Highway Two from the intersection of State Highway one through to Maramarua township.

The area affected is approximately 21 kilometres.

Police have already attended one accident where a van rolled in this area.

Transit have been called to the area for signage to warn motorists and to clean the road.

Police recommend extreme caution on this section of the road.

Transit will advise any further restrictions or action to be taken
