Road blockage in Wellington District, 7:00am 26 Nov 2008

A truck and trailer unit broken down on State Highway two is causing delays for southbound traffic in that area. The truck, which has a broken drive shaft, is situated south of the Petone Esplanade onramp on SH2. It is also blocking the entrance to the cycle lane. Motorists are asked to watch their speeds as they pass through this area, as cyclists may need to temporarily move onto the road to get to the lane. It is expected the truck will be in that location for at least an hour
