Fatal car crash in Waitemata District, 6:45am 8 Dec

A car and a bendy bus have collided on the intersection of Silverdale Street and Hibiscus Coast Highway.

An occupant from the car is believed to have been fatally injured.

The police serious crash unit has been called.

Northbound traffic is being diverted onto Silverdale St and on to Wainui Road. Southbound lanes are open. Nil further.
