Firearms incident - update in Wellington District, 5:00pm 8 Dec 2008

Police dealing with the firearms incident this afternoon in which a truck had it's windscreen shot out by a passing motorist have located both the vehicle involved and it's occupants. They have also located an item believed to be the firearm used during the incident.
The vehicle and one occupant were located in the Horokiwi area where they had been last seen driving. The second suspect was uplifted in the Porirua area after voluntarily handing himself in to police.
Inquiries continue into the incident and at this stage no charges have been laid.
