Aggravated robbery in Counties Manukau District, 10:00pm 11 Dec 2008
On the 11th December 2008 at about 4.p.m, a 43 year old female and her 2 year old granddaughter were walking in a reserve at the end of Stanniland Street and Butley Drive, Botany.
A male approached the two females, grabbed the two year old and held a knife to the child.
The male has then grabbed a gold chain from the neck of the 43 year old female. The female has then handed over her gold bangles to the male.
The male has then walked toward Stanniland St where he has got on to a grey mini Chopper motor bike. He has then left toward Butley Drive.
The offender is described as male, approximately 25 years, light brown skin, medium build, about 175 cm in height, clean shaven with short black hair. He was wearing a white coloured shirt and black trousers.
An independant witness was was in the area at the time of the incident and walked in the direction of the two victims.
Counties manukau Police are appealing for that witness and any other witnesses or persons who may know the offender to come forward or contact the Police on 09 571 2800.
