Helicopter Crash in Counties Manukau District, 3:00pm 19 Dec 2008

Just before 3pm today a 22year old pilot with a commerical pilots licence was practising helicopter take off and landings in a confined place of the Whitford Forest. The helicopter has developed some difficulties and the pilot has made an emergency landing. The pilot was uninjured. The Civil Aviation Authority has commenced an investigation.
