Pending road closure

Police are advising motorists that the Desert Road will be closed at approximately 10.00am for a period of approximately 1 hour.

The closure is required so that contractors can utilise a crane to remove a truck that overturned on the road at approximately 1.00am this morning. Removal of the truck will require the closure of both lanes through the Desert Road.

The alternative route through National Park will be available to motorists.
