Holiday Traffic in Auckland City District, 12:00pm 27 Dec 2008

Holiday traffic heading to destinations in the Auckland, Northland and Waikato (Coromandel)regions are advised to expect long delays in traditional bottleneck areas such as the Kopu Bridge (Thames) and the Northern Motorway (Orewa).
There is currently a seven kilometre queue at Kopu.
Traffic on Auckland's Northern Motorway is at a crawl.
Motorists are asked to be patient, or to delay travel plans.
