Theft in Auckland City District

Auckland Police last night arrested a 24 year old male and charged him in relation to the alleged theft of electrical transformers that occurred in Auckland City in October 2008.

The matter has gathered a large amount of media and public attention with a number of billboards relating to the incident erected around Auckland City by the owner of the transformers.

The male was to appear in Auckland District Court this morning charged with Theft and breach of bail.
