Accident on SH1 in Wellington District, 12:15pm

Emergency services are at the scene of a two car accident northbound on SH1 bewtween Plimmerton and Pukerua Bay.

The accident occured at about midday. Two people are being taken to Wgtn hosptial with moderate to serious injuries.

One northbound lane is closed while the accident scene is cleared. Delays will be expected for the next 40-60 minutes.
