Serious road crash in Bay of Plenty District, 11:05am 29

Police are attending a serious road crash on the Kaimai's.

Shortly after 11am police were told that two vehicles had collided on SH29 near to the intersection with Belk Road.

The road is closed and diversions are being organised.

One or more persons were reported to be trapped within the vehicles.

Fire were assisting to remove them.

It is believed that one or more persons may have serious injuries.

The public is advised to avoid this area or face delays.
