Fatal Crash - Arundel Rakaia Gorge Road

At about 8.30 pm on Tuesday 30/12/08 a 28 year old female was killed instantly after the vehicle she was a front seat passenger in left the road and hit a tree on Arundel Rakaia Gorge Road(sh72) near Alford Forest.

The vehicle was driven by her boyfriend who suffered minor to moderate injuries including a broken collar bone.

He was treated at Ashburton Hopspital and discharged.

Police Serious Crash Unit from Christchurch and a photographer from Timaru have this morning (31/12/08) attended the scene to conduct a scene examination.
