Pursuit - Birkdale, North Shore City

Earlier today the Police were notified of a petrol theft drive off, the vehicle was stolen .

Some time later this vehicle was seen and followed by a Police patrol.

A pursued ensued as the vehicle tried to avoid apprehension.

The vehicle was pursued for short time in the Birkdale area, the maximum speed reported was not in excess of 100 km/h.

The vehicle lost control entered a property and collided with a house.

The occupants of the property were home at the time but not injured.

The offending driver ran from the scene but was quickly apprehended by Police.
