Heavy traffic flows SH1

Police request motorists to be patient travelling in the lower North Island this weekend.

There is a high number of people returning from holiday and the main roads are starting to get busy.

We are getting reports of delays and heavy traffic north of the Capital on State Highway 1 from Porirua to Levin, including the Kapiti Coast.

Police ask motorists to drive to the conditions and to remain patient.
