Fatal motor cycle crash in Tasman District, 7:00pm 3 Jan 2009

West Coast Police and emergency services were kept busy attending four seperate accidents involving motorcycles between otira and Bruce Bay this afternoon.
Just before 1600 a 10 year old boy was killed as the result of a dirt bike accident near his home in Whataroa.
He was riding along a stop bank with friends when the accident occured.
A doctor, Police, ambulance and fire attended but he was unable to be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The matter has been refered to the coroner
