Swimming pool death in Waikato District, 7:30am

On 9th January 2009, at about 7.30am the Hunty Police were called to the Huntly Aquatic Centre.

On arrival it was ascertained that a 33 year old male had been swimming in the main pool and had just stopped swimming and died.

CPR was attempted at the scene by staff and the Ambulance was called

OSH and Waikato District Council were advised and also attended.

They will be commencing there own investigations.

The name of the deceased has not been released until Next of Kin have been advised.
