Hit the Deck with Telecom at the Big Day Out
Telecom is serving up something special at this year’s Big Day Out on Friday 16 January. Not only will they be making sure customers stay connected to their friends throughout the day but they will also be providing the public with the best views to rock out in style.
The Telecom Deck is a huge three level structure, set up in the South Stand that will be serving up all the essentials for Big Day Out revelers; a sizzling BBQ, cool refreshments, awesome views of the main stages, sunscreen, loads of giveaways and shade for those wanting to escape the summer sun. Entry is free to everyone over 18 years.
Telecom’s Head of Mobile Marketing Liz Wilson says people wanting to take a break between watching artists on stage will find the Telecom Deck is the perfect place to relax and re-hydrate.
“There will be fast access to free food and drinks, cool shade, free international calling, celebrity hosts, live feeds from the main stages and plenty of opportunity to win free stuff. From the deck Big Day Outers also get the chance to be one of the first in New Zealand to experience Telecom’s new mobile network,” says Ms Wilson.
Personalities from some of New Zealand’s top rating TV shows including Dancing with the Stars, Outrageous Fortune and Shortland Street will also be at the Telecom Deck to host visitors to the Telecom Deck.
This year Telecom is helping Big Day Out attendees to be heard when making calls. Situated on the Oceania field three Telecom Hush Cones will be available to make mobile calls. The Hush Cones are designed to provide a quiet place for people to connect with their friends in the middle of the noisy, bustling Big Day Out.
To make sure event goers know the lyrics to all their favourite Big Day Out bands, the Telecom Music Store has all the full tracks, Caller Tunes and TruTones ready for download straight to a Telecom mobile phone (standard Telecom Music Store charges apply).
