Male crushed by rock fall in Southern District, 4:40pm

Police and Ambulance are currently at the scene of a rock fall in which a male person has been crushed.

The male was part of a possum hunting party in a remote area on the Omarama Staion when he got caught under a rock fall.

He has been seriously injured.

No further details are known at present.
